Cheltenham Offices Spark Energy Efficiency Improvements

December 13th 2023

KBW is delighted to be involved with two Grade A office buildings where energy efficiency is high up on the agenda.

Mayfair Capital, owner of Jessop House in St James Square, has invested in upgrading the air conditioning and lighting throughout the building resulting in a marked improvement to a B rating. In a building of approx. 38,000 sq ft, this is an excellent example of a Landlord investing in a building for the benefit of all the tenants whilst also protecting their asset as the requirements for minimum energy efficiency standards increase.

St James’ House, owned by Schroders, is also seeing investment in sustainability. Starting with a refurbishment of the ground floor office suite, our client achieved an applaudable A rating EPC.  The other available accommodation within the building is located on the third floor, and our client is looking to refurbish this suite to the same level subject to a potential tenant’s requirements.

Aside from the focus on energy efficiency, both of these buildings provide a whole host of end of trip facilities to support those who cycle, jog or walk to work or those who like to exercise around office hours. Further details on the specific facilities and current availability for each of these buildings can be found within their individual brochures St James House and Jessop House.
