As part of the rent review negotiations on this industrial unit in Bishops Cleeve, KBW negotiated a lease extension which was to the benefit of both Landlord and Tenant.

The existing lease, which was negotiated by KBW’s Commercial Agency team in 2019, provided for a rent review on the property on the third anniversary of a 6 year term.

After initial discussions, the tenant expressed an interest in securing the building for a longer term and on this basis KBW identified the opportunity to liaise with the Landlord to recommend a proposal which could be put forward to the Tenant.

The proposal satisfied the Tenant’s wish to secure the building for a longer term, dealt with the outstanding rent review, and also secured our client’s investment by adding an additional 5 years to the Tenant’s commitment.

KBW’s property management team has since been appointed to take over the ongoing management of the property, including rent collection and day to day liaison, and we are pleased to continue our long term relationship with the Landlord and Tenant.
