Lease surrender removes liability for client

KBW has successfully negotiated the surrender of its client’s lease of Unit 2B Riga Wharf, Gloucester. Chris Mullins Tyres had relocated into a nearby unit to facilitate a business expansion, with its Riga Wharf unit becoming surplus to requirements. Following a marketing campaign, KBW identified a party which was able to agree terms for a new lease directly with the landlord, thus enabling CMT to surrender its lease with a little over 2 years liability remaining.
